About This Spot

Stepping into Dragon Bay Bakery feels like finding a quiet nook tucked away in the heart of Brooklyn’s bustling Bensonhurst neighborhood. The modest storefront opens into a compact space where the pace is gentle and unpretentious—perfect for a quick escape into the comforting simplicity of freshly baked goods and warm coffee. Here, the casual hum of conversation mixes with the subtle fragrance of pastry, inviting you to pause and savor a moment of everyday pleasure.

Though the bakery is small, its atmosphere carries the welcoming essence of a neighborhood gem. The staff’s easy Mandarin and Fujianese accents add an authentic thread to the experience, subtly connecting you to the bakery’s cultural roots. The modest layout means it’s almost exclusively a grab-and-go spot, but that only heightens the feeling of discovery—you’re invited to join the rhythm of locals picking up their favorites throughout the day.

The appeal lies not just in variety, but in the quiet confidence of each bite. A golden Portuguese egg tart offers a delicate balance of flaky crust and creamy custard, while the fluffy Swiss roll cake and sesame balls evoke a sense of nostalgia without fuss. Their coffee—especially the iced version—complements the pastries with a familiar warmth, making it clear that Dragon Bay thrives on simple, reliable pleasures rather than grand gestures.

This is a place where sweetness meets sincerity. Whether it’s a mooncake during festival season or a casual red bean bun picked up on a weekday morning, Dragon Bay Bakery is a subtle invitation to enjoy the comfort of well-loved treats with a community’s steady heartbeat just outside the door.

This is a really great and tasty treat bakery. They have lots of daily prepared fresh pastries on display. Their coffee taste awesome as well. I got also a walnut cookie very nice taste. They are only take out....will definitely be back and try something else when im in the area. On another note their front service workers are not very friendly, but I went and gave the 5 stars on account of their products.

Great variety of choice with competitive prices. I like most of the bakery but the HK style milk tea is just not that authentic and good. Avoid that.

Great Chinese bakery that have been around for decades. I love their chestnuts cake. It’s fresh made on the same day on order by phone. Very fresh and yummy! My go to place for holidays and birthday celebrations.
